Default Sipura 3000, Linksys 3102 and GrandStream HT488

I currently have a Sipura 3000 that was provided by my VoIP provider. Unfortunately, the Provider locked access to Admin and I am unable to use the Sipura as intended (i.e. PSTN/VoIP Gateway) or for whatever reason it wants it that way. In short I have an SPA 3000 that just work as a regular ATA. When I asked for the admin password, the provider asked for an exurbanite price for the SPA 3000. I browsed through the net and found several models for an ATA with FXO port namely Linksys SPA 3000, Linksys SPA3102, and Grandstream HT488. I need to make up my mind which model I should buy.

I have the following questions:
1) Is there any website or posting that provide a comparison between the Linksys SPA and/or SPA3102, and the Grandstream HT 488?

2) The price of the Grandstream HT 488 is significantly less than the Linksys. Is this just a pricing policy or there are significant difference between both of them? I understand that the HT is smaller in size and may have less programming capabilities. If so, what are the differences?

3) Is there a difference between the SPA 3000 and the SPA3102 beside that the latter has a routing capabilities? There is no price difference between both of them. On some sites they mention that that the SPA 3000 is discontinued. So is SPA 3102 replacing the SPA 3000?

4) I am using a 3Com (low end) DSL modem router which does not have QoS feature. If I buy the SPA3102 and place it between the 3Com and a Switch (the SPA 3102 will be my computer network router and not the 3Com) will this priorities the voice packets and thus give me the same functionality of the QoS feature?

The SPA3000 is discontinued and is replaced by the SPA3102.

I bought the HT488 as it was cheap, and it is, in comparison, crap! I am in the UK, and the HT488 would not allow me to make PSTN calls - regardless of voltage setting. It only worked with PSTN in passthru mode when I pulled the power out.

Feature wise, it's also very poor compared to the SPA3000 and 3102.

VOIP/PSTN gateways & PSTN/VOIP gateway, call forwarding, decent dial plan configuration, multiple gateways, security, etc etc etc.

I plugged in my 3102, spent about 30 mins with it, and it works. To get the same dialplan functionality with the HT488 (which I gave to my parents) I've had to register it with Voxalot, and let them do all the dial plan stuff

And can you not factory reset the 3000 box? If you can get the ** keys to get a response from the box, dial it's reset string (Google!) then you may be able to get in and change the passwords/provisioning (as long as you keep it off the web).
