Hi I have got my SPA9000 up and working with 4 SPA941 phones on the same network but for the life of me I cannot get the phones to register when outside of the network. I have set up DMZ on my router to forward to the internal IP address of the SPA-9000 and changed the proxy address of the SPA-941's to the public IP address of my router. Can anyone help?? Paul

Paul, I have one set up that way. There are obvious security concerns that you will want to deal with but you can give this a try. 1. You have to have the 9000 set up on the WAN side with a public IP address. 2. The phones will register with their Network IP Address, but not with their internal address. In the SIP tab of the phone, you will need to either setup a stun server or enter the external IP Address of the phone (www.whatismyip.com) in the EXT IP: field. 3. In the SIP tab set Linksys Key System: to yes. 4. You can not use the same SIP PORT (941 EXT1 tab) on two phones, regardless of IP Address. Set the first phone to 5060, then 5061… 5. The PRXOY address needs to include the :6060 which creates a problem if you are trying to map a public IP through a router to a private IP. 6. Line sharing will not work correctly if you have more than 1 phone registering from the same IP address. Good Luck Dennis

Thanks very much for that it worked a treat. Can you let me know how I can best secure my SPA9000 so it only accepts connections from the phones I want and not other people?
