| Hello, While doing some testing, I've noticed some strange behavior in my SPA3000: (1) I've setup two VoIP accounts on Line1 and PSTN. Both showed "registered" status on SPA3000's "Info" web page. (2) I then called PSTN line from a Cell phone. Got the dial tone for PSTN-line VoIP provider. (3) Dialed a number with VoIP service on PSTN line. This way, the PSTN line (gateway) was busy and I was using PSTN VoIP service. (4) I then picked up the phone attached to the line1 of SPA3000. I heard a normal dial tone and dialed a local phone number (which goes through the PSTN gateway "gw0"). (5) Since my PSTN line was busy, I heard a re-order (busy) tone. But it drops my PSTN line VoIP call. Also, it left my PSTN line in some strange (I guess, off-hook) state. When I tried to call a local number from Line1 phone, I heard busy signal. Then I tried calling my PSTN line from the Cell phone and I heard busy signal on my PSTN line. Well, I then rebooted (power cycled) my SPA3000 to release the PSTN line. After power cycle, my SPA works fine. Does any one know how can I avoid this type of problem? Or does any one encounter a similar problem? If so, how was that resolve? Just fyi, I upgraded my SPA to the latest available firmware (3.1.7). |

| Thanks PhoneBoy. I played with my PSTN line VSP and this time my SPA-3K was behaving differently. Previously, on both of line1 & PSTN lines, I was using Net2Phone. Now, I left my line1 VSP as Net2Phone and changed my PSTN line VSP to Teliax. I repeated the same steps as before but this time I heard a busy tone every time I tried dialing out to my PSTN gateway (gw0). The PSTN line did not drop either. Now, I've another issue with my PSTN line VSP (Teliax). I can dial out from PSTN line VSP but when I tried calling PSTN line VSP from my Cell phone, I heard a busy tone. However, when I use Teliax on line1, it was working fine for both outgoing and incoming calling. I guess, I've missed some setting some where in my SPA. Does any one has had some success in setting Teliax on PSTN line? |
