Hi, I want to forward any PSTN incoming call to an specific number directly, without having to enter an option, I cannot find how to do this. Thanks. Cristian |

Greetings mberlant, In case of a PSTN-to-VOIP call the forwarding to a specific number happens only after the caller gets the second dial tone (with or without authentication). This means the calls will be forwarded using the VOIP service provider programmed into your PSTN line tab. For folks living outside United States forwarding to any local number (in a country of their residence) in this manner will not be free, if, the forwarding number is not a U.S based number. It will cost them for a (PSTN Line provider) VOIP call. Isn't it? If the above is true, then is it possible to forward call using the "@gwX" in order to route calls through specific gateways? For example if I want to forward any incoming PSTN-to-VOIP call (that would be caller calling to my PSTN number to dial out using VOIP) to any local number, using gw0? I tried your example to forward incoming PSTN calls to my local cell phone (which is not in the U.S) by changing the dial plan to (S0<:13115552368@gw0>) in order to make the calls go out through my local PSTN line. As a result, I get a busy tone. It didn't work. However, in case of a VOIP-to-PSTN call the above method works. Now is this because once you get the second dial tone (to make calls using your PSTN line VOIP provider) incase of a PSTN-TO-VOIP call there is no way to make calls using gw0 (your local PSTN line)? If not, then how can you forward your incoming PSTN calls (caller calling your PSTN number to make a VOIP call) to any of your local number? It is confusing when you are living in a different country than United States but use VOIP providers from the U.S. Please help me grab the concept right. Thanks Kind Regards, -redmat

Goto PSTN User tab, PSTN-To-VoIP Selective Call Forward Settings section and in Cfwd Sel1 Caller: field set the calling number and in Cfwd Sel1 Dest: field set the destination VoIP number. SPA will not ask for PIN. It will connect without authentication. If you have firmware version 3.1.3 or upper and you want SPA3000 answer the PSTN call just after the VoIP has been connected, you can also set in PSTN Line tab, PSTN-To-VoIP Gateway Setup section the field Off Hook While Calling VoIP: NO. If VoIP call cannot be achieved then SPA3000 will not answer the PSTN call. Juan C.

Hi jcgalvezv, Thanks for your reply. I think you didn't get me right. I dont want the incoming PSTN-to-VOIP call to be forwarded to any VOIP number. I want the call to be forwarded to my local cell phone number (or any other local PSTN number) using gw0 (which would be my local PSTN line). The problem here, I guess, is once you get a second dial tone you are not able to dial through gw0 (which is my local PSTN line). All you are left with is to dial or forward calls to any number using your VOIP. And if I do that, in case of a PSTN-to-VOIP call, whenever a caller calls my local PSTN number (not in the U.S) I will be getting calls to my local cell phone (not in the U.S) from my VOIP service provider (in the U.S). But if I apply the same rule on any VOIP-to-PSTN calls, my cell phone rings, and its a local call from my PSTN line (which the incoming VOIP caller was able to get after authentication). I would want to do the same for PSTN-to-VOIP calls. Before the SPA actually dials the VOIP number i would want the calls to be forwarded to my local cell phone number (using gw0?). My firmware version is 2.0.13(GWg) Thank you Regards, -redmat

Gracias
