| hello I have PAP2 running Firmware 3.1.7(LSd). PAP2 is configured to send Caller Id according to Bellcore (N.America,...) standard. I also have a wired telephone labeled AT&T model 260. I cannot get Caller Id working on this telephone! When I have my PAP2 reconfigured to use ETSI FSK I can get Caller Id on my [european] Panasonic DECT. When I plug this AT&T telephone to my [european] phone line (where ETSI FSK is used) I can get only called (i.e. my own) number dispalyed instead of normal Caller Id. Any ideas why I cannot use AT&T phone with my PAP2? Thanks |

| Is the phone ringing properly? A US phone typically will not listen for the Caller ID before the second ring if it does not properly identify the first ring. You may need to change (on the Regional page) the nature of the Ring Signal generated on the Line 1 port. First, try changing the frequency from 25 (Europe) to 20 (North America). If that doesn't work, also change Waveform from Sinusoidal to Trapezoidal. If that doesn't work, also change Voltage from 70 to 90. Let us know how you make out.

| Yes, the phone is ringing properly. I've changed the frequency from 25 (Europe) to 20 (North America) already. Voltage is 70. I've changed Waveform from Sinusoidal to Trapezoidal and it works now!!! You're genious! Thank you very much! |
