Hi Guys,

I'm trying to disable some way the flash function on the spa-xxx devices, but still can't find a solution. Do you have any idea whether it is possible ?

Thanks,

Default RE: hook flash disable?

Are you trying to prevent people from picking up Call Waiting calls? From making 3-way calls? Both? Just curious.

You can try working with the "Hook Flash Timer Min:" and "Hook Flash Timer Max:" parameters on the Regional page. From the factory, any flash of duration between 0.1 seconds and 0.9 seconds will trigger a flash event. If you change "Hook Flash Timer Min:" from ".1" to ".9" you will force your SPA to only accept flashes that are exactly 0.9 seconds long.

I don't know if this is acceptable to you, or if the SPA will accept the same value in the two parameter fields. I do believe it is worthwhile for you to experiment with these values to find a combination of values that achieve what you want.

Let us know how you make out.

Default RE: hook flash disable?

I got it working by setting the flash timer min to 0 and flash timer max to 0. This way hold function was disabled and I prevent users from having "hanged calls" . For example if they dial a number and there is voice mail or something like that they hit the button of their phone fast and the call is on hold and they are being billed for this time. After that they call another number and at the end the both calls are stopped when they close the phone but the first is not billed the way it should ( and it lasted more then it had to ). Mberlant thank you very much !
