| At 33 minutes into this video .. http://revision3.com/systm/asterisk they setup Asterisk and the SPA3000 so that any number dialed on the FXS port plays the monkey sound, AND they get the monkey sound to play for any call coming in on the FXO port (PSTN). This, ofcourse, is only for the purpose of testing to make sure both ports on the SPA3000 get into Asterisk. My SPA3000 has the latest firmware. Right now, on my setup, I have an analog phone plugged into the FXS port on the spa-3k (SPA3000), and the FXS port is enabled, but the FXO port is DISabled. With this setup, any number dialed on the phone plugged into the FXS port gets the monkey sound. BUT --- if I just enable the FXO port, then the FXS port does not get the monkey sound after dialing a number. SO, it seems that ENabling the FXO port, in my case, is causing a problem on the FXS port. Here are the applicable parts of the conf's: sip.conf Code: [sipura1FXS] type=friend context=sipura1FXS secret=password host=dynamic dtmfmode=rfc2833 [sipura1FXO] type=friend context=sipura1FXO secret=password host=dynamic dtmfmode=rfc2833 Code: [sipura1FXS] exten=_X.,1,Answer exten=_X.,2,Wait(2) exten=_X.,3,Playback(tt-monkeys) exten=_X.,4,Hangup [sipura1FXO] exten=_X.,1,Answer exten=_X.,2,Wait(2) exten=_X.,3,Playback(tt-monkeys) exten=_X.,4,Hangup ![]() When I enable the FXO port, this is what the INFO tab looks like (again, this is when I can no longer dial a random number on the FXS port and get the monkey sound) : ![]() I'll also note, that after enabling the FXO port, I can dial in on it and it will answer, stay silent for ~10 seconds, then hangup. Here is my Line 1 configuration: ![]() ...and here is my PSTN configuration: ![]() Is it possible that I have a bad piece of hardware, or is is the (more likely) case that I do not have something configured correctly? If (hopefully) I have just done something wrong, can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you so much! -Adam Last edited by adam71o : February 27th, 2008 at 12:45 AM. |
