Can ring from but cant ring to my spa 841
Hello
I have configurated my spa 841 and it is registered in my asterisk. I can call from my spa 841 but I cant call to it. I get ' Maximum retries exceeded on call' ' and 'No one is available to answer at this time' (Asterisk trace) even if there is no indication on my spa841 that it is recieving a call.
I have tried to use Ethereal and there it is an invite from my asterisk server to my spa 841 but there is no reply.
What can be wrong?
Thanks in advance/D_S

RE: Can ring from but cant ring to my spa 841
Make sure that you have the Asterisk's name or address in both the Proxy and Outbound Proxy field and that Use Outbound Proxy is "no" and Use OB Proxy in Dialog is "yes".
Good luck.

Hello
Thanks, but its not working anyway...I still get this message:
" Maximum retries exceeded on call 'a long string' for seqno 102 (Critical Request)
== No one is available to answer at this time" and no indecation that the phone is ringing.
Im trying to get 2 IP phones of kind spa 841 to work (SPA 1 and SPA 2) if Im trying to call out from one (SPA 1) I can see in ethereal that my asterisk send 5 INVITE requests in a row to my (SPA 2) but there is no responce. If I make a call from my (SPA 2) to (SPA 1) it is identiclal but I see an INVITE-request to (SPA 1).......but with no responce.
I really dont know whats wrong it seems like the phones ignores the INVITE-requests.
I would be very greatful for help!
Best Regards /D_S

Hmmm... I read you the settings from my successful 841 registration to an Asterisk box. Let me think a little more about this.

Hello again
I have tried to have a sys log server running and when I make a call to my SPA 841 I get this errormessage bellow (which doesnt say to much to me):
----------message----------------
TP Parser error: 32
-------------------------------------
Have anyone seen this error before, if yes what should I do to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

We had a parsing error. Caller ID was set to "John Doe" <1234> in the Dial Plan. Sent error to Sipura - they found that what ended up in the SIP communication was ""JohnDoe" . Note the two opening quotes.
We tested by changing the Caller ID to John <1234>. Then error went away. Since then we've worked around this problem.
Hope this helps.
