| I have two SPA 3K's which I am using for inbound PSTN lines (among other things) with Asterisk. They are connected to two USA purchaced GE 900mhz wireless handsets with CID. When I connect the phones directly to PSTN without the Sipura's in the middle caller ID passes fine, but when I add in the Sipura's I get no caller id. What are the settings that can be used to "tweak caller id"? I should note that I am in Taiwan, but by all I can determine, Taiwan's caller ID implementation is the same as the USA (all phone related equipment I purchase in the USA works here without problem). All help much appreciated. |

| What is possible (which is also the case in Australia) is that the timing of sending the caller ID is different. The technique maybe the same, but in America I think it starts 500ms after the first ring, and in Australia 330ms. So maybe the Caller ID is sent too late in Taiwan, so the Sipura thinks there isn't coming anything, so it won't read it to transfer it again to your phone. And your other hardware may not be that sensitive. EDIT: Quote:

| jcgalvezv: I have upgraded to 3.1.5(GWb) with not good results mberlant: I'm not using Asterisk, my topology is as follow: PSTN ==> FXO(SPA-3K) ==> Inernet (PSTN-To-VoIP Gateway Enable) Everything works fine the only problem is when I receive a Call from PSTN the FXO port never detects the CID on the Information Page; I would like to use the "PSTN Access List" but I can |

| gar, what country are you in? You may be connected to a telephone system that does not generate one of the Caller ID techniques that Sipura is able to decode. Also, if you are in a country that uses the US standard you may be picking up the phone before the phone company has a chance to send you the Caller ID, just before the second ring.
