Question BLF on phone when SPA3102 PSTN line is in use

Linksys SPA942 Linksys SPA942
Stylish and sturdy 2- or 4-line business IP phone with 2 RJ-45s and Power Over Ethernet.
Price: $149.95
Didn't know if this should be in here, Asterisk or Grandstream support (or all three )...

I'm still at the tinkering and learning stage, but here's what I've got... PSTN line into SPA3102 FXO which forwards calls to Asterisk into a context called "incoming_pstn". The SPA "dials" its own local number so that I can treat it separately in extensions.conf on *. The digit string in extns.conf rings on Line/Account 1 of my Grandstream GXP-2000.

However, so I don't cut the less technical members of the family off if it breaks whilst I'm away from home, the trusty DECT base station is still plugged in, in parallel. It seems fine, both DECT handsets and the SPA get the Caller ID and all seems well.

What I'd like to do, is use one of the seven feature keys up the side of the
phone to show (key-system style) the in use status of the PSTN line either when the SPA has it in use, or, when the parallel connected DECT phones are using the line but the SPA is idle. According to the SPA user guide, the SPA will return an unavailable error if the line voltage drops below the 30v I have set in the Line-in-use parameter but I don't know how to go about monitoring it from * so that I can activate the busy lamp on the phone.

Is it doable? Would it be more doable if the DECT system was plugged into the FXS port and I could "hint" at the PSTN User's SIP ID instead?

Any advice (or even, better search phrases than the ones I've tried ) would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance
Dox
