Can anyone tell/explain me what can we do with this XML file. Can we enhance the features or something of SPA-3102.

Thanks,
Chiru

You can use it to automatically load new settings into the SPA3102, via an appropriate TFTP server. I believe the facility is used mainly by businesses with large numbers of ATAs which they want to update at the same time.

You'll find links that describe the process in this forum. The SPA settings that relate are on the 'provisioning' tab when you are logged in as 'admin' and in 'advanced' mode.

Anyone have full XML for PAP2, PAP2T and SPA2102.

I need to do some provisioning of about 100 units.

I looked at the configuration wizard on the Voxilla site and while they are good, they dont provide the complete name value pairs. It seems there is "name=some numnber" which is some index number to each setting that I need.

I also looked at the html source from the admin web interface and its there but its hard to make out as it has some extra characters in lot of place which I cant figure out are part of the name index or not.

spaconf.xml method only works on SPA9XX phones, it does not work on the ATAs..this I confirmed 100% as I have pretty much all the linksys ATAs and most of the phones too. I wish there was spaconf.xml method for the ATAs...some user from S. Africa commented that Linksys was going to open (source) all of these but not sure of the time frames.

Thanks in advance.

TP

The new SPA9000 wizard at the spa9000 support page at linksys can save XML configurations for all SPA devices on the LVS network.

It dumps the configs, in xml format into the wizard sub-directory

Thanks good tip. Regrettably still does not work for SPA3102, unless I am doing somthing wrong. Wouldn't be surprised if one could hack it, but beyond me!

Interestingly the zip extract for the SPA9000 (US only!!!) wizard unpacks lofficial localisation information for several countries into the config directory.

This may be useful to some - many of the settings could be manualy applied to other devices like the SPA3102.

Correct, data needs to be "XML encoded". The list is something like:

< needs to be <
> needs to be >
& needs to be '
" needs to be "

and ther are a few more I forgot.

Hope this helps.
