Default Access voip features via analog phone on 2100

I'm new to ATA's so forgive me if this seems stupid...

I have asterisk setup great with some analog phones on an SPA-2100. Is it possible for the analog phones to access advanced features like hold, call forward, record, transfer, etc? I know VOIP phones can do it...

I see *xx commands on the setup page of the 2100 - does that mean if an analog phone types these command during a conversation (during a call) the appropriate command will be sent to asterisk?

Thanks

Just as with an analog phone accessing such features if you have subscribed to them from the phone company, you need to flash the switchhook to get a new Dial Tone in order to input these commands. When you do this your SPA will convert the star code into an appropriate SIP request and hand it over to Asterisk for processing.

Ok - I'm starting to get the basics. Now for the harder part of the question:

If I want to conference in 3 other callers, how would I conference them in using the ATA? On my softphone I can call multiple people and press CONF to bring them together?

(I'm using asterisk at the PBX). Thanks

With 3 other callers you will need to invite each caller to dial in to your MeetMe conference bridge.
