Default 800 numbers more chop than voice

I'm using an spa3000 with voicestick. It sounds fine except with 800 numbers. When I connect to one of them, the sound is so choppy that it's more like 98+ percent silence, with a syllable of voice once in a while.

If I use voicestick on a softphone, it sounds ok.

Any idea what change I can make to the spa3000 to fix this?

What CODEC are you using in each situation? It's possible that the CODEC chosen by your softphone is not available on your SPA, but we'll only know when you report your findings. Please let us know.
