Default 2 Dead Sipuras ??

Two of my Sipuras 2000's (at different locations behind different Linksys routers) seem to have gone dead within 24 hours. The RJ45 light is on solid and the status light is blinking in a particular pattern 2 slow blinks, 3 rapid blinks then dead for 2 sec or so - at least this is what I can make out.
The IVR with **** does not work and there is absolute silence.
Last I set them they were on Static addresses (192.168.1.60 for one and 192.168.1.120 for the other) Cannot seem to get to the web configuration either. It says "The connection was refused when attempting to contact 192.168.1.120"
I even tried connecting them with a x-over RJ45 cable directly to my Laptop - nothing. Is there somehow I can do a hard reset or a forced firmware upgrade??
I really am at a total loss could somebody help?
regards

Default RE: 2 Dead Sipuras ??

That pattern indicates that the Sipura is unable to talk to the router and pick up an IP address. Double check the cables (straight through) and see if the appropriate LED on your router lights up when you connect the Sipura to it.

See if you can ping the sipuras.
I had a similar problem with my 3000 just recently 3 fast 2 slow .... . Before that, It was rebooting eratically and finally went dead with the flashing codes.
I emailed Sipura Support on saturday, and they sent me a Recovery Tool the same day, which rejuvinated my SPA.

BTW, once I got it back the to latest firmware, I was still having the reboot problems. I found that my Line 2 provider needed a short register expires time. Once I had that set, it has been fine with no reboots since!

HTH

Have you tried to ping the units? My suggestion was to contact Sipura Techinical support by email: support@sipura.com. They will ask you a series of questions to see if the recovery tool is applicable, then send you the appropriate recovery tool for your unit. I have the SPA 3000 not 2000.

User name and password? are you trying to log on to the Sipura Support site? I believe that it is for resellers?

Thank you - I contacted support at Sipura who very promptly set me the link for Sipura 2100 whereas mine is 2000 - when you run the tool it locates th devices with their respective serial numbers but the upgrade fails. I have written to Sipura again inquiring if the recovery tool is different for a 2000 and if so they should send me a link - am keeping my toes crossed in the meanwhile - thank you once again for pointing me in the right direction.
