Default Leadtek firmware update

I have Leadtek 8051D, and I tried to update it's firmware without success. The instruction given by the Leadtek website is not much help either. I downloaded the 18D/E firmware, but really could not load into the device, your help is greatly appreciated.

How are you loading the firmware into the device?

The way I usually do it is to use the web interface. First, unzip the file that Leadtek provides you. You should get a .r0 file. Go to the Download link in the Leadtek web interface. Use the HTTP Download method. Click on Browse to find the file on your local machine. Click "Start HTTP Download."

Hi,

I tried your method but still does not work. The device went into download mode, but it stayed in that mode for long time. When I finally unplug the power and plug the power back in again, it came back online but nothing was updated.

Any ideas?

You may have to exchange the adapter. I know that I had to do that with a couple of prototype units Leadtek had sent me eons ago.
