VoIPStunt, IPKall
I am using IPKall with VoIPStunt and its working!
I have two issues:
1) After each incoming call via IPKall, if I receive the call, then the next call rings as well. If I don't receive the call (meaning I don't answer the call - I let it to ring out or go to the answered) then the next call doesn't ring at all unless I power-reset the ATA!
I tested it using my Cell - there is no dial tone on my cell.
My phone connected to ATA is not ringing at all.
2) With Google Voice forwarding to IPKall, caller ID is a fixed tel no - it gives a "206" area code #?
Any tips are appreciable.

Few steps to diagnose the issue:
- Try some other VoIP provider and see if the problem persists. I would be surprised if the problem was with ipkall.
- Google voice occasionally gives a Washington Seattle number. But it is not every time....

i) I don't think that I have another service to test;
Would GIZMO work? I don't have a VoIP-in for GIZMO.
ii) If I let my answerer to answer, then it works! But if whoever calls, half way through hung up, then it needs a power reset!
iii) I configured my Nokia N95 - it works like a charm - IPKall rings all the time, even if I don't a answer the call.
So the issue is some settings on my ATA - not sure how to fix it!
My ATA sits behind the "Cable DSL Router" - should I put infront of it - and after the DSL modem?
Any security issues?

Re: VoIPStunt, IPKall
Ipkall suffers rather strange bugs, such as this: Ipkall won't tear down the session unless the far end hangs up. A SIP device sends a BYE request to indicate it's hanging up. Ipkall ignores BYE requests and lets the call continue on until the far end hangs up, only then Ipkall will tear the session down.

jason, sciconfig, all...
Thanks for this info on ipkall. sipgate free account gives 200 free minutes and a free DID, so try there. Google Voice is now running full bore with free DID and 5 minutes, where you can use your DID with gizmo5 then mysipswitch. .

One correction:
If the answerer picks up the call, then the next call rings too.

Hi Sm,
1) "sipgate free account gives 200 free minutes"
Can we call forward to a URI?
Is inbound call forwarding also included in this 200 minutes?
If so then we get 200 free call forwarding per month or per account?

Re: VoIPStunt, IPKall
Gizmo setup page says that it's free
incoming, but I have not yet verified that.
