Default I signed up and got a number, now what?

Hi,

I signed up for an ipkall a/c and got a number. Now what? How do I configure my SIP softphone to receive calls?

Plus, when signing up, I was asked for the SIP number from my provider. I've not received any number from them. The details I've received are:

username: xxxx
password: xxxx
Reg Server: 85.196.165.42
Outbound Proxy: 85.196.165.42

Regards.

Default Re: I signed up and got a number, now what?

If your VoIP service provider accepts incoming sip uri calls then you would send the call to
Sip Phone Number: username
Sip Proxy: 85.196.165.42

If your VoIP service provider does not accept incoming sip uri calls (many don't) then you can't send an IPKall incoming call to that account/provider.

You can get a free account at GizmoProject or FWD. These are two providers that accept incoming SIP calls.

When you make a change at IPKall you have to allow at least an hour before the change is effective.
