Does IPKcall "SIP Phone Number:" field support characters?

It doesn't appear to be working I have registered with
http://www.voipcheap.com/en/index.html and my SIP phone number / userid
has only characters.

BTW, they do support SIP (SIP proxy is sip.voipcheap.com)
and I can make outgoing calls successfully, but when
I call IPKcall # (from my mobile) I don't hear ring and says "is currently busy."

I'm new to SIP and IPKall.

First of all, yes, IPKall will accept any alphanumeric phrase in the SIP Phone Number field. All they do is map that field to be the bit in front of the @ sign and put what you entered into the SIP Proxy field behind the @ sign to send you the SIP URI call.

What you need to find out from VoIPcheap is whether they will accept or reject an inbound SIP URI call. Many service providers do not support this, because they perceive it as revenue avoidance.

We tested several VOIPCHEAP URL's
