We can do that, no problem, I just want to make sure that ipkall is not short on g729 licenses and everything will work fine by allowing only the g729 codec. They don't offer any support (understandable for a great free service) but I thought to ask it here, maybe I'll get a qualified answer.
Hi, I switched to Trixbox recently, so am now in a position to specify g729 only on a trunk, something I couldn't do before wiht my SPA3000. Before g729a was set as the preferred codec, but most calls would default to g711, which in the case of my limited egyptian DSL connection, used to be an issue, choppy calls etc. I switched to Voxbone and have been paying them 7 euros a month for a while. Wouldn't mind switching back to IPKall if the g729 codec can be fixed as the only codec without running into problems.

Sanawar.
Its so-called NP provider but their support sucks, I havent been able to get an answer how to configure my PAP2T or sign in using eyebeam or any other sip client. Even Voxilla wizard doesnt work for them. Every user on the forum tells new settings and the one I got after activation of account doesn't work even. The only thing I m happy is I can call free ...huh though I havent been able to sign in even once.

Thanks I wonder why they dont list that on their site (or did I mess it) I only saw the new one that was supported. No ilbc? Is that resource intensive?

actually you can use g729 with FWD, since you're only using it as a proxy. I setup asterisk with an SIP connection to FWD and only allow g729. It works great!

The list has not changed since I previously posted it in this thread (May 14, 2007).
