ipkall no 425-906-3311 not routed to asterisk server

Default ipkall no 425-906-3311 not routed to asterisk server
I have an IPKall account with number 425-906-3311. My friend is running asterisk that is reachable at yyy.homeip.net . I have set my SIP proxy as yyy.homeip.net. However, my call to 425-906-3311 doesnt end up at yyy.homeip.net. If i use fwd as my SIP proxy, my calls to 425-906-3311 reach fwd and then eventually reach any client (I use XLite) that is configured to receive SIP packets from fwd.
If anyone who had faced similar problem was able to solve it, please let me know. I am anxious to get this working!. Thanks in advance

Try changing the sip proxy from homeip.net to actual IP address and check if that works.
