| For a few days now I've been using grandcentral local phone number with the gizmo project, in which on my VOIP adapter I'm able to use a regular phone to get free incoming phone calls. The problem is that I'd like to setup a regular old phone line at a family members house so I can call them free. From reading over at the gizmo project it seems they only allow SIP to SIP phone calls if you use a computer and their software. It looks like FWD allows free SIP to SIP with the phone adapter. Therefore aren't I better off switching to FWD and using IPKall. Therefore I would forward grandcentral's phone number to IPKalls, and then IPKall would connect to my VOIP adapter. From reading from FWD it seems as if I can go from adapater to adapter without being on the computer. Any feedback is appreciated. |

But that's true of a lot of VoIP providers out there as well. In fact, both SIPphone/Gizmo and FWD both "peer" with SIPBroker - Login (as do a lot of other VoIP providers). So you can even dial between SIPphone/Gizmo and FWD (indirectly via "SIP Broker") if you set your adapters "dial plan" up correctly. |
