I am waiting for IPKall to issue me a number for 5 days now. Earlier, the turnaround time was much faster and usually you had a number within 24 hours. Looks like something has changed at IPKall. I hope they are able to fix this.

sanawar,

My number arrived within 3 to 5 days, and I did send very polite request seperately. The likely problem is all of these other websites promoting this service on their websites.

The voicemail or voice to email is another problem. Any advice here would be appreciated. I tried fonosip's SIP with their free voicemail and also tried forwarding to the K7, but neither one works tied to the DID.

From what I've read, this service is mainly advertising and promoting the real voip services; not meant to be anything workable (packagable). Some sites are advertising full voip, incoming and outgoing unlimited national long distance for $10 or $15 month. Can't beat that...

SM

Unhappy Re: IPKall application Turnaround Time

I applied way back on 5/19 but am still waiting for a response. Anyone had better luck registering as a new member?

proteus,
They sent me another number two days ago. This means that this service is reliable afterall. PM me and I'll give you the second number if you want, just change the email and psswd, transfers it to you. I'm using the DID with the outgoing calls hack advertised on youtube.

Yes, I too finally got my DID issued as well.

I just kept re-applying and I also used a different email address at times.

Finally it came through about a week after the last attempt.

The number however just came up with the disconnected signal for about a week but eventually came good.

Outgoing call's via the DID using the YouTube hack??? Humm.. Tell me more!

Thanks, I had a quick look . Looks interesting.

I use ATA's here though.

Might be fun for others though dialing from their PC's.

vk4,
I sent you that number. did you get it? My outgoing PM doesn't seem to work, the "sent" items says zero. Send me your email by PM if needed, I guess.
