Thumbs down No iConnectHere complaints? They possibly have no customers anymore.

I've read a few opinions about iConnectHere in this forum, amazing everybody seems to be satisfied with their service.

No so I ... my experience with iConnectHere's service is medium to poor, my experience with iConnectHere's Customer Care a NIGHTMARE!!!

I am a member of iConnectHere since Feb. 2005 since I needed an Austrian phone number, and "iCH" was the only one at that time, who could provide International phone numbers.

Besides the fact that "iCH" constantly tries to force me using their (damn) dialer instead of using the much better Counterpath phones, service was/is good to all landlines; not so whenever I tried to call any of the Austrian cell phone networks.

Min. 50% of my attempts to reach a contact of an Austrian cell phone network I ended up with messages like "The called person would not be available right now" all the way to "There were not enough funds available in my account to perform this call", although I never had low funds available.
The other 50% of calls successfully performed into the Austrian cell phone networks had rarely good quality, mostly low to miserable quality.

Since mid of July did I have no chance anymore to perform calls or, if it worked, called person received such an extreme echo that he/she could not understand my actively spoken words anymore.

Since there was no change of quality for another month, did I email an inquiry to "iCH" if they possibly have added new codeces or hopefully incorporated "ICE"-calling quality improvement.
As usual have I received their standard reply to download and install their dialer, this time even a typical ALPHA test version(!!!).
Due to my (repeated) reply and explanation why I were unable to use their (low quality) dialer have I been ignored from that moment.

Therefore did I cancel my subscription to their service Aug. 24th, and was surprisingly charged for another month 3 days later; my cancellation was also ignored.

"iCH" offered to contact me per phone to resolve existing issues, which was done more than 10 days after I had cancelled. I had to repeat every information provided in prior emails, the representative also was informed about the ILLEGAL charge performed by "iCH" after I had cancelled.
The representative, friendly and apologetic, promised to take care that existing issues would be resolved ASAP and, they would IMMEDIATELY refund this ILLEGALY performed charge to my credit card on file, as well as not to apply any further charge until existing and constantly recurring issues were resolved once and forever.

Yesterday, 10 days after I had my phone conversation with this representative, did I receive an email reply from "iCH" friendly mentioning my requested refund, which was not reapplied to my credit card yet, but therefore again offering me to download their dialer's ALPHA TEST VERSION!!!

Does anybody of this forum have a clew how I would be able to get rid of this service and how I can get my mony back? I am pretty tired of sponsering their sloppy service.

I think this is pretty much the service that you have to expect from many providers. Have you ever tried contacting Sipdiscount? - forget it! The only ones that I know of that are still operating and have provided any kind of customer service to me, that are worth mentioning, are MyWebcalls and Wengophone (there must be others?).
I think some may depend on the fact that the amounts of money involved are usually small and any kind of litigation is not worth the expense.

Just wanted to keep you all posted regarding my "amazing" iConnectHere Customer Care experience ...

This morning I received the following reply from "iCH":

I apologize for the difficulties you have been experiencing with our service.

Please be advised that we have changed the route of the calls when calling Austria, the change has been done after your last call on 8/27.

Therefore I kindly ask of you to place several test calls and let us know if the sound has improved.

In addition, please download our newest dialer as this dialer can provide better sound quality than the one you currently use.
Who should believe this after more than ONE MONTH of fighting with them and not having been able to use their service (besides the fact that they still do not get it that I cannot use their low quality dialer)???
