Default Is the "free" ata from ICH locked?

I'm thinking about sign up to ICH, but I don't have the ata adapter yet. They send their ata 'for free" (I think they will charge me when sign up something like 30 dollars and about 40 dollars if I sign out before one year). Well, the question is: Is their ata locked to their service? I mean, supose I decide in the future change the service provider, can I use that ata as a BYOD? Or will I have to buy another one?
Thank you!

I bought device directly from voxilla store and then subscribed to ICH, but I regret the ICH subscription. They do not have any support number and I am not able use their service still even after having added additional 10USD to the account. My money is blocked and they do not respond to mails positively so far. Its been more that 6 days since I subscribed to them and still I get the message "your subscription is temporariy unavailable" from my spa3K. Even login to their portal kicks me off. So my advice is look for some where else, coz thier service (they claim so) is a joke.

That's bad!
Anyone can say anything else about ICH?
I was talking to a guy that is happy with ICH.
I live in Brazil. I will call Brazil to Brazil mostly. So, I need low international rates or unlimited international calls plan.
Which provider is the best?

Default Re: Is the "free" ata from ICH locked?

i use ICH for the last three years and I don´t have any complaint. The quality of service is good , the prices are competitive. I originally suscribed with the International 1400 because i need to call frequently to Europe and works fine. From two years to now i am using the Unlimited packet with USA and Canada , and I feel happy with service and support. I have recomended the service to more than 5 friends and all of them are using the service with satisfaction. the PAP 2 unit is a great deal. I have three PAPS at home. I switch now because new requirements, for the SIP 3102 , but from the begining, i know they are not supporting this units. I taked the risk and now, I am trying to setup it- CONCLUSION: Good experience.

Hope my recomendation helps you !

Juan
