I have both the HT-386 and the Sipura 2002. The sipura offers more options for configuration although changing anything tends to screw stuff up. The grandstream has a good voice quality and a light that tells you when its not registered and a FXO which I haven't used but its nice to have. I have used both as end points of an asterisk server, directing calls to them, transfering calls between them, calling each other, calling out on both with one line, answering from either.

Currently I have two lines from broadvoice that they ported for me (took about a month but they got'em). Both of these are on the sipura 2002 because I used the HT-386 in TFTP from broadvoice (which was for the 486) and I can't get into the voice menu I would say that this is the only problem of the 386 is that it clicks when there is no registration like hanging up over and over before i can get into the menu. For this reason I would go with the 2002 for a smaller # of lines and users. I have run my own tftp server for the 386. It is easy to do and I would do this if I had 3 or more asterisk clients since it is a script friendly process (and of course never use a service providers tftp with the 386 until someone tell me how to fix it).
