| Hi, I have a Grandstream 286, and is configured for one of my SIP account from KIWITALK. It couldn't logged in to the network. I tried the same settings with a Linksys PAP2, it works fine. Can anyone let me know the configuration for the Grandstream 286. Regards, Raj |

| hi shunjaj I am afraid that I am not going to be much use.... I have a Grandstream 486 with a similar problem, which I have not managed to resolve, in spite of a lot of effort. I can configure the device successfully for Voxee, but when set up for Sipgate it just will not register. I can configure a Sipura SPA2000 on the same internet connection for Sipgate and it connects just fine with a variety of VoIP providers (incl Sipgate), using the same stun server or outbound proxy as that specified with the 486. Look carefully at the status page of the configuration. Has the device detected a firewall correctly (if there is one) ? If not there are a couple of tricks you might try, including setting fixed IP on the 286 and then going back to dynamic, and specifying the ip address of the Sip server / Outbound proxy / Stun server in numeric rather than letter format. See this thread: http://voxilla.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-7833.html Can you successfully configure the 286 for any provider at all? - try a FreeWoldDialup account. What firmware are you using? I suspect that in my case the problem is with the firmware and Sipgate's server is somehow incompatible with the latest version. An obvious step would be to set up a PC on yr network to look at the ethernet packets, using something ike Ethereal. I have no PCs on my network (all Macs) and to date have had no joy at getting Mac equivalents of Ethereal to produce any meaningful results. jw
