Can a GXP2000 work with Vonage Softphone account

Default Can a GXP2000 work with Vonage Softphone account
Hi there,

I would like to use my GXP2000 SIP phone with a Vonage account. I have read that Asterisk can be configured to work if you have have the softphone option. Would this allow a hard SIP phone like the GXP2000 to work as well?

That is what I would think but until I hear from someone who has actually done it I won't assume it does. So far, I can't find anything anywhere from anyone who is using a SIP phone connected directly to their modem or router and making Vonage calls without any Vonage hardware.

I now have a Vonage softphone registered on my GXP-2000 and it works just fine.

Thanks phoneboy. Are you behind a NAT? If not, any chance you can test to see if that will work?

I'm behind NAT and I can make and receive calls just fine with it.
