Hi. I've got huge disconnect problems with GXW-4104 on Italian analog lines. The standard disconnect method (which is perfectly working with other manufacturers' fxo hardware) from our Telco is a 425hz reorder tone, -12db, with an alternating cadence of 200ms + 200ms silence. I've set the gxw to use the "enable tone disconnect" feature; I've also set the "Reorder tone" to: ch1-4:f1=425@-12,f2=425@-12,c=200/200-200/200; (two cycles). I've tried also ch1-4:f1=425@-12,f2=425@-12,c=200/200; No effect at all. The gateway seems not to detect remote hangups. This is a big problem. Has anyone ever had the same problem? How can I solve it? Thanks, Alberto.

Hey, Tones: http://www.itu.int/ITU-T/inr/forms/files/tones-0203.pdf As i see you set wrong values. Disconnect was fixed some version ago.

Thanks for the smart piece of advice, but that's the first document I used as a reference (I tend to read user manuals first). The document says: Italy Busy tone - 425 0.5 on 0.5 off Congestion tone - 425 0.2 on 0.2 off Dial tone - 425 0.2 on 0.2 off 0.6 on 1.0 off Special dial tone - 425 continuous Ringing tone - 425 1.0 on 4.0 off Special information tone - announcement Call waiting tone - (4) 425 0.40 on 0.10 off 0.25 on 0.10 off 0.15 on How do you translate such information to a grandstream compatible string for reorder tone???? I've been able to set strings in linksys and patton devices, but not in grandstream.

Your reoder is good (ch1-4:f1=425@-12,f2=425@-12,c=200/200 2. Enable Tone Disconnect: Yes 4. AC Termination Impedance: 270 ohm +(750 ohm ... ) (for good CLIR) I tested it on 53, but 55 should also be good, i can try monday more tests if you have problem you shoud log such connection (debug mode) and send it to GS support.

Sorry, already tried that. Tried again 10 minutes ago, just in case I overlooked something. No success, still cannot get the line to disconnect. Impedance set as you told, enable disconnect = yes reorder tone = ch1-4:f1=425@-12,f2=425@-12,c=200/200; No way.

I tested today. Line was disconnected. My disconnect (Should be 425, but i found taht 425 is exacly 425 +/- 25) ch1-8:f1=400@-11,f2=450@-11,c=50/50;

Thanks for the reply, but this is not working either. I don't understand why c=50/50 The timing is 200ms, not 50ms. However I've also tried with c=200/200; same frequencies, of course with no success.
| |||
Er, simply becouse my frequencies are diffrent from Italy You shoud log such connection (debug mode) and send it to GS support (email on grandstream page). Free windows syslog server: Kiwi Enterprises .: Software Downloads :.
