Default Re: How to use ENUM?

ENUM is basically a way to keep the entire call VoIP. ENUM is a directory that says, if you are trying to dial number +1 415 901 1965, send the call to sip.voxilla.com instead of using the PSTN.

In theory the VoIP phone system or device will do an ENUM lookup before trying to routing the call to the VoIP provider or the PSTN.

A VoIP provider could do an ENUM lookup, route the call over VoIP for free and not charge you for the call or pocket the difference and charge you for the out-of network rate.
