Default Two Cell phones, one number.

Is anyone aware of a means of using a second cellphone with a single number? I know this exists in some other countries. It would allow you to leave one phone in a home system, while carring a second and avoid having to call multiple numbers to reach a family (save numbers and clutter too). Could allow you to end need for land line.

In my case I'd like to carry a new Razr, but it can't be integrated with the system in my Mercedes car. Therefore I confuse anyone trying to reach me by having one phone in the car, and a second number when I'm not there. I never use the two simultaneously.

It's a good question... Are you sure you are in the right forum?

For the moment, let's keep it here in this forum.

One solution springs to my mind. An Asterisk server with the right service provider can easily ring two PSTN numbers whenever a call is received on a particular DID number. Depending upon what country you are in you could set up an IPKall or other inbound number and call out to both your handphone and car phone whenever someone calls that number.
