| Hi guys! Thanks to to Voxilla staff for letting me in, this is my first tread. I'm happy with the products I buy from them pap2-na and pap2t-na. Have a question Have a Pap2-na connected throug a Linksys router and moden(cox cable) it was working fine, and then 3 weeks ago I can't hear audio when people call me, only when I call them is fine on both sides. So the problem is that there is not audio in my end when they call me, but they can hear me. would this be a problem Modem or Router like automattly settings changed or mac filtering. I did the next test too. I took the pap2-na to my friend's house and it works fine with his setup. any suggestions or link on how to solve this problem thanks in advance Last edited by eddas : November 21st, 2006 at 03:10 PM. |

| no really! I tested the pap2-na in another house and it works perfect with the same ISP, I'm guessing it is the router (Linksys BEFSR41v2).- I've forwarded ports 5060-5061 and 10000-30000 both protocolls, disabled the Block WAN Requestin filters section. only the first incoming call is fine after the save settings of the router. then it blocks again the incoming voice from the incoming calls. weird. I have read in other post that Linsys Router is compatible problem because Pap2-na are made from SIpura and not Linksys, What I'm about to do is buy another Router (D-link DI-604 4)and see what happen. | The DLink router may work differently but it is not a panacea. People also report voip interface problems when they are using DLink routers. There are some things you can try before you spend money. If you don't have NAT Mapping Enable and NAT Keep-Alive enable on the line tab, you should try that. Another thing to try is to stop the port forwarding and enable a STUN server and some of the other NAT Support Parameters. Another variation is to stop the port forwarding and put the PAP2 in the router's DMZ after you add strong passwords to the User and Admin logins. |

| If you put the PAP2 in the router's DMZ you should have the PAP2 password protected for security. Quote:
Handle VIA received:NO Insert VIA received:NO Substitute VIA Addr:YES STUN Enable:YES STUN Server: stun.softjoys.com Handle VIA rport:NO Insert VIA rport:NO Send Resp To Src Port:YES STUN Test Enable:NO Actually, any STUN server can be used as it is a standardized function where you send it packets and they send packets back to you showing information about your NAT. For the STUN server function you don't enable anything in the router. STUN is a function supported by the PAP2. |
