Default Netgear Port Forwarding

I had an issue with my SPA 3000 & my Netgear WGR 614 Router. After a week mucking about with settings, I concluded that my router was still blocking Ports 5060 & 5062, despite opening them. A lengthy call to technical gave a result. Apparently, all the WGR 614 versions 1 to 5 do not have the UDP protocl needed for the SPA. Only the 614 version 6 has the upgraded software. Replacing my v4 with a v6 resolved the problem.

Default Re: Netgear Port Forwarding

I have a NetGear WGR614v4 that is working fine with my SPA3000. It works fine without doing any port forwarding for me. I did upgrade the firmware awhile back to the latest version available (V5.0_07). I didn't try it with the SPA3000 before that, so not sure if it had a problem with the old firmware.
