Default Have problems with audiable ringing on a Sipura 1000

We are using an IP connection between a Sipura 3000 to a Sipura 1000 to allow faxing at a remote site that is 100% IP

Currently we are in a test environment so we have phones connected to both units. We are able to call from the 1000 and ring the phone at the 3000. When we call from the 3000 to the 1000, the phone doesnt phyically ring but if you pick up the phone we have a talk path.

We changed out the phones between the 2 thinking it might be the phone but the problems stays with the 1000 device.

Any suggestions on what we should look for?

Default RE: Have problems with audiable ringing on a Sipura 1000

Chances are real good that your phone(s) attached to the 1000 are expecting the ring signal to be strictly in compliance with US standards. For some reason, Sipura devices don't factory ship set to this standard.

Please try these three changes, which you will find on the Regional page, one at a time, building the next change upon the previous one as you go.

Ring Waveform: Sinusoid --> Trapezoid
Ring Frequency: 25 --> 20
Ring Voltage: 70 --> 90

We tried the changing the ring setting and still do not have an audible ring.

If you can think of anything else please let us know.

Thanks

Have a look at your Regional page and confirm that Ring 1 Cadence is actually configured to send a ring signal to the attached phone.
