Default FWD autofoward working?

Autoforward on my FWD account seems to have stopped working sometime over the last few weeks. (Since I last received an incoming call on that FWD number.) Callers to my FWD number now think that my line is permanently engaged. (Calls should be forwarded to my Australian OzTell SIP account.)

Can someone please confirm that FWD is correctly autoforwarding calls for you? To which SIP network?

OzTell haven't heard from any other users with problems so I need to determine whether the problem is at the FWD sending end or the OzTell receiving end.

I don't think it is a corruption of my FWD database entry. I tried setting up a new FWD account and autoforwarding that to the same OzTell account. Calls to the new FWD number also get the engaged signal. However peering works for manually dialed calls from either FWD account using **698060oztellnumber. It is just the autofwarding which has stopped working - at least for me.

Thanks

Rob

Rob,

I think that your problem is at the OzTell end. It is not reporting engaged. Rather, it is properly attaching to your account, but is presenting a Dial Tone for onward dialling instead of forwarding automatically to your specified target number

Cheers,

Michael.

Thanks Michael.

I have sent OzTell support an email asking them to call my FWD number directly (which won't forward to my OzTell number) and then call my OzTell number via the FWD peer**698... and compare their log entries. Hopefully they will do that and we will find out where the problem lies.

(I have heard from at least one user with the same setup that autoforwarding to OzTell is still working for them. So while it isn't working for both my existing account which used to work and my new test account - each now autoforwarded to two different OzTell accounts, it doesn't seem to be a system-wide issue.)

Rob

Here's the web page. I don't know why FWD makes it "hidden" (not available off the main menu):
