 ENUM Registry Launches
It essentially makes "phone numbers" resolvable by DNS. Some highlights: - A phone number to return more than one URL, allowing all kinds of possibilties.
Allows VoIP providers to interconnect at essentially zero cost without using the PSTN.
VPF ENUM Registry, which launched today, currently houses over 1 million numbers from organizations such as Acropolis Telecom, Addaline.Com, Free World Dialup, MIT, Net2phone, Packet8, and Yale University.
