e164.org who run a directory of international phone number accessible by VoIP has started
posting bounties to help further encourage adoption for the benefit of everyone. After all, who wouldn't want to see any number of large incumbents go away tomorrow?
There is 3 bounties on their wiki page at present, and only 1 has been completed. A
firefox plugin to use a phone number to redirect you to the website returned.
The main bounty listed is for a gaim plugin, because e164.org publishes a lot of non-voip specific information in their directory. They indicate that it was felt that a unified method of contacting people by a single number (phone number) would be fairly useful to everyone, rather then needing to know 3 or 4 ICQ/Yahoo/MSN/IRC details etc.
