Default Dry loop & jack connections

Hi, i hope someone would be able to help me with the following setup:

I have dry dsl connected to a modem then conneted to a router, then my home pc and my voip-adapter are fed by that router.

Simplified: (Dry DSL---->modem--->Router--->Voip adapter & home PC)

All is working fine, i have no issues with my internet or my phone voip line.

Although, i would like to be able to plug more phones into my phne jacks arround the house, but since i got Dry DSL in all my jacks, what should i do?

Is it possilbe to re-direct my voip line into thoses jacks...or will it interfer with my DSL?

thank you!

Default Re: Dry loop & jack connections

What I did is separate my dry loop DSL on a separate wire pair. My house is wired with CAT5 cable, so the blue pair is my voice, and orange pair is my DSL. So, at the junction box outside I put the DSL on the orange, and where my DSL Modem/Router/ATA sits I have two jacks. One jack is on the orange pair and runs to my DSL modem. The other jack is on the blue pair, and takes out OUTPUT of the ATA to put dialtone on the blue pairs, then all of my telephones throughout my house are all connected to the blue pairs. It works good for me with no interference or DSL filters needed.

If your house is older, you can use the yellow and black wires to separate the DSL line, and use the red and green wires for the voice portion.

Hope that makes sense!
