Re: Dry loop & jack connections What I did is separate my dry loop DSL on a separate wire pair. My house is wired with CAT5 cable, so the blue pair is my voice, and orange pair is my DSL. So, at the junction box outside I put the DSL on the orange, and where my DSL Modem/Router/ATA sits I have two jacks. One jack is on the orange pair and runs to my DSL modem. The other jack is on the blue pair, and takes out OUTPUT of the ATA to put dialtone on the blue pairs, then all of my telephones throughout my house are all connected to the blue pairs. It works good for me with no interference or DSL filters needed.
If your house is older, you can use the yellow and black wires to separate the DSL line, and use the red and green wires for the voice portion.
Hope that makes sense! |
