RE: I I think you would be much better off to set up an Asterisk VoIP PABX in Hong Kong instead of a Sip Express Router. You will have a bit of learning to do - more, if you aren't a little familiar with Linux - but it will serve you very well.
Basically, you would set up your Asterisk to register with Messagenet (and also a US provider, if you desire) and to accept registration as an extension from your ATA in Shanghai. In fact, your basic requirements are so simple that Asterisk@Home might suit you well to get you "in the Asterisk business" quickly.
I have an Asterisk running here in Japan, with client "extensions" in Japan and one in the US. As part of my installation testing my colleague in the US made test calls through my Asterisk via my US service providers to US telephone numbers. Although latency totalled a little over 400ms, calls were clear and quality varied from "good cellular" to "sounds like next door".
