BT Voice mail issue.

I have a BT Dect phone with built in anwering machine.
My problem is that when i listen to my messages it starts playing a few seconds and then stops and handset goes back the standard status screen.
If i unplug the RG11 BT phone cable from my Linksys pap2, it works perfectly. I have been throgh the timing settings and have done some trial and error on some without any sucsess.
Please can someone help me with this?
