I've seen this article before, but what's said in it is why I selected Broadvoice and dropped Vonage. Owning and configuring your own devices and/or softphones I feel is the way to go.

Default so bad custom service and telephone of broadvoice

the first several months, the service of broadvoice will be good ,but later you will fall in big trouble that you can not get in and get out .this company's support center line is busy forever, including midnight--nobody will reply you.this is my experince! if you want to know if it is true, you can try to call its support center at 1-978-418-7300,you will be waiting forever on line.
