Default Bridge regular phone line with FWD?

Hi everyone!

I've been wondering...
Could you bridge FWD calls to a regular phone line?
This is what I'm thinking:
If I call my FWD number from abroad and, somehow, get a dialtone from my regular phone line at home so I could then dial a local number (inside my local calling area) using my phone line.
Also, can this work the other way around, that is: can I call my home phone number and then call a FWD number?
what equipment would I need and, what configuration this equipment should have. (if it can be done)

note: remember this is using regular phone line (not a voip service like vonage) and a highspeed internet connection for the FWD calls.

Was this clear? I'm new at this and don't know the correct 'lingo' yet.

thanks

You can do this with a SPA-3000.

What you describe is the core functionality of the PSTN Line half of the SPA-3000 ATA. It is typically implemented so that you call in to the FWD number, are prompted to enter a PIN, and then are given a PIN which is coupled with a Dial Plan which controls what numbers you are permitted to dial out to. Calling in the opposite direction is likewise configured.

Will I find detailed instructions on how to configure the spa3000 to do this 'bridge' somewhere here on voxilla (or anywhere)?

thanks

The SPA 3000 Configuration Wizard will help you do this.
