Big business

I love FWD because it is a community of users who got together (okay, so you had a lot to do with them coming together) to be able to talk to one another at no cost no matter whenre they live. Your business model is very different than what a lot of people see coming for broadband telephones, with Comcast, Time Warner and all the other big cable or internet providers trying to cash in. Are you worried that FWD will be stomped on by the communications giants? Do you think that creative companies like VoicePulse will be able to survive?

Thanks for the good question.

To be brief, I have no worries about the long term future of FWD. Many of the service providers have worked out arrangements to send traffic to/from our network. Some have been private about it and some have been public but we are helping connect people with people and openly embrace the opportunity to work with as many different service providers as possible.

Is it possible that FWD will provide inter-connection access (for a fee of course) for outbound calls to non-800#s? Either directly or through a partner like VoicePulse? If not, what are the reasons for not providing such a service?
