yes i am sure that it is called B-number.I also searched in the internet found a couple of sites mentioning this but i could not understand what it is.
yea i've worked in telecom for sometime now and never heard of a b number can you post some of the sites that mention it just a search in google dosnt really come up with much that refers to anything to do with telecom

I think in telecom B-number is the number of called party and A-number is the number of calling party.You can check it out in following link. Call_detail_record
