Voxilla attacked, some posts lost Sometime during the morning of Sunday, Aug. 1, hackers broke into Voxilla.com and defaced the front page of the site, taking advantage of a security flaw in the version of PostNuke we were running. The breech was only to the Voxilla.com front page, and not to any other page or subdomains associated with Voxilla. No personal information of any type was ever compromised.
No data related to the Voxilla Store, which operates using a different content management system and lives in its own IP address, was ever accessible to the intruder.
In order to remove the defaced pages on Voxilla.com, we restored a backup of the site's databases. We also updated the version of the PostNuke content management system we run to ensure that this is not repeated. As a result, some Voxilla Forum posts made on Sunday morning were lost.
To those who posted and no longer see their messages, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please feel free to make your posts again.
Thanks for your continued support.
