| | First Looks: WiFi Phones That Actually Work? (comment) If the WIP 330 runs Windows CE then I'd love to know whether it also has a PPTP client built in (which typically comes with Windows CE). If so, then it may be possible to use it to create an encrypted tunnel back to a home Windows XP workstation in order to protect VOIP conversations when used in a pubic hotspot (assuming it has enough CPU power to run the PPTP client at the same time as it is doing the VOIP thing). |

This unit costs almost as much as a wi-fi enable PDA. Am I better with this phone or simply a wi-fi enabled PDA running Xten's solution. |

| | First Looks: WiFi Phones That Actually Work? (comment) Got my review finished over at www.archatechs.com
I am questioning if I have a different firmware than the reviewer above. We didn't find any STUN support (among other major problems).
As for the processor check out this review: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/2005/1...ess/page2.html |

I try to call spa3000, spa1001 & spa2000. as soon as thr call is pick up, the call will be disconneted. But i use it to call Xten softphone is ok. For incoming call, wip300 can connect with no problem, but can not call to adaptor. Call to PSTN through my VSP is ok. Does any one know what could be the problem? ... never expect Linksys could help this issue, their technical support is useless. Please help ...thank you. |

Then do a fatory default, I'm sure it will work after. |

| | RE: Re: First Looks: WiFi Phones That Actually Work? (comme Nice phones but they have a couple of serious problems: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Linksys+WIP300. And that's not even getting into the meat of things (complex roaming scenarios.. that gave Cisco nightmares for years)
