Gee, the press releases made no mention of the intrusive advertising. Or, AOL's version of Microsoft Office's animated paper clip (who died a quick, painless death on my PC). I wonder why.

Also, real time call management is available on quite a few VoIP service providers - including the click-n-call feature on many.

I wonder how AOL is going to react when Yahoo! launches using Xten's technology. A report yesterday on Andy Abramson's blog http://andyabramson.blogs.com/voipwa...hould_be_.html indicates that Yahoo is already using Xten http://xten.com. AOL had better get with the program if they plan to compete.

Hi everyone,
I am a user of AOL Callways over my comcast cable connection. I wanted to let you all know Callways isn't always expensive like the author of the post I am replying to makes it out to be. You can get unlimited local (in state) calling for 18.99/month and I did a lot of research and found maybe one or two out there that were cheaper (for unlimited packages), all of them which required pre-paid fees much exceeding AOL's pre pay fee (13.99). I get it for 13.99 a month the first three months, than it goes up to 18.99/month. Also, FREE EQUIPMENT a big thing that was not mentioned by the original author of the post I am replying to. I am not even a big AOL fan, I just chose them becuase they fit my min. wage budget, and much over Vontage. That may only fit thoughs of you who make little long distance calls (.039
