This is the setting for the PSTN Line side. The assumption is that you would want to make and take calls on the Line 1 side of the SPA like normal.

Default Configuration Wizard option to use SPA-3000 with Asterisk?

I don't see how to use the config wizard to work with asterisk PBX. I want to put spa-3000 at my sister's house, but have asterisk server at my house.

Thoughts
Pat

There is a seperate wizard specifically for Asterisk:

We also now have (in testing) the Wizard for the SPA-841. Please test and comment:

To start with I have two comments:
  1. The info text in step 1 should be changed to use the menu in SPA-841. Something like: Hit the 'i' key, roll to menu item '9 Network' ...
  2. I get a failure 'The page cannot be displayed' on the final page http://192.168.0.105/admin/asipura.spa. I have entered the correct IP-address. On my SPA-841 I use Software Version: 3.1.1(a). My computer and SPA-841 is on the same LAN. In the menu I selected musimi.dk. From my SPA-841 web configuration page I have tried the save/restore by using the File -> Save as.., and by modifying the Form tag to <FORM action=http://192.168.0.105/admin/asipura.spa method=post> that is working fine so I cannot figure out why this Form should be failing.

Herman,

Does the wizard update your SPA-841, despite the error message? I would not suspect the asipura.spa page because the wizard does not address that page. Rather, it composes an HTML page with all of the parameter ID Numbers and their values and POSTs this page to your SPA.

May I assume that this same PC is able to perform manual configuration updates to this same 841? Also, I assume that you have cleared the Admin password (if it had been set) before using the wizard.

Over to you.

Michael

No it's not updating my SPA-841.

I think I have found the problems. On the 2.nd page following is wrong

Code:
Proxy <input name=";10735" value="musimi.dk" readonly>
should be
Proxy <input name="10735" value="musimi.dk" readonly>

STUN Enable <input name="27759" value="1" readonly>
should be
STUN Enable <input name="27759" value="1" readonly>

STUN Server <input name="27695" value="stun.musimi.dk:3478" readonly>
should be
STUN Server <input name="16687" value="stun.musimi.dk:3478" readonly>
I took a copy of the 2.nd page and changed those - Then it's working

Both of these issues should be fixed now.

Sorry - On my above STUN Enable I forgot to inform the correction

It's stille failing - and I am still missing the correction for those two names (when Musimi is selected)

STUN Enable: name="16559"
STUN Server: name="16687"

The Danish Telefin is also failing !!

-------------

I do have an additional wish list to the Musimi wizard, and I would like to have your comments on that. Also you can pick from the list as you like.

Musimi use to recommend the following NTP servers, and I think a lot of people wouldn

The Wizard is fairly generic in terms of settings, i.e. there isn't a specific wizard for Musimi. We can make suggestions based on the provider for some settings (e.g. dial plan). I did change the preferred codec for Musimi to g711a, though.

I corrected the parameters on the SIP tab that had the wrong name/value pair (there were more than the two you mentioned).

The SPA-841 adding support for programmable Daylight Savings is relatively new. I hope all the SPAs eventually support that.

Adding an option to enter an NTP server might not be a bad thing, we'll consider doing that.

Right now, the Localization Wizard sets: Caller ID type, ring back tone, ring cadence, busy tone. I'd love to have someone do more with that. I'm pretty sure the localization wizard won't work for the SPA-841, though, because all the parameters changed just like they did for everything else. We'll look into updating that for the SPA-841 as well.
