This sounds great. It is about time they get these types of products to a decent price point. When will these bad boys be out on the market? Will there be stores (like Voxilla) selling them direct to end-users as well?

I don't think we've made a determination on that yet.

Could you keep us updated on that then? Possibly a product review when it becomes available?

As an aside, Hop-on has also announced another WiFi IP Phone handset called the hop1502. It seems to be similar to the hop1515 in features but offers a different external design.

Has anyone ever seen / held a hop 1502 or 1515? It seems a bit strange that theres so many press announcements around, but absolutely no reviews.....

I just found this on e-bay, looks exactly the same as the hop-on. Is hop-on OEMing from someone else or maybe even OEMing to someone else. Here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

If Voxilla sold these $40 devices, I would be the first to order. I might just use it on my home wireless network, and not much at hotspots, although I could wander my neighborhood and find unsecured wireless networks to use it on.
One thing I wonder, which would limit their popularity outside the home, is now people would need to carry two phones with them. This and their cell phones. At least until there is a combo WiFi SIP / cellphone in one.
