RE: Mexico disconnect tone ... using Audacity, the "on" part of the signal has a peak of 441Hz & lasts for 251ms, with 247ms of silence between "ons" ... how do I translate this into SPA-speak??

Going back to post #1 & doing the math, I tried, on a SPA3000:

441@-30;4(.25/.25/1+2)

but it's still holding onto the line for 30sec after disconnect, when I set "Detect PSTN Long Silences" to No. If I set it to Yes & to 10sec, it drops the call after 10 seconds, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the disconnect tone I've entered, right?

I've included the disconnect tone, if anyone doubts my math abilities. :-)

OK, a simple change ...

441@-30;4(.25/.25/1+2) becomes, after RTFM'ing -

440@-30,441@-30;4(.25/.25/1+2)

... And all is well!

Webudo and others:
I have some questions:
You mentioned that
Quote:
X@-30,X@-30;Y(A/B/1+2)
where:
X = The frequency in Hz. (mine 416)
Y = The cycles the pattern repeats (I used 4)
A = Time in seconds for the frequency (mine .200)
B = Time in seconds for the silence (mine .200)

So, in the example, I would enter this on the disconnect tone value of the sipura:
416@-30,411@-30;4(.2/.2/1+2)
  1. If X in your case was 416, why you have 411 in your value? It should be 416 in both places right?
  2. Where did you get the value 4 (Y= Cycle Pattern Repeated)?
  3. The software displays only one tag per postion which is the upper one. It never displays the lower tag per position (4 and -719 in your example). What is the importance of these values?
  4. I recorded the disconnect tone for Egypt. The values were 423@-30,423@-30;4(.28/.24/1+2) I am not sure if it is correct or accurate, can anyone confirm that?
  5. I have the wav file for the disconnect tone. It is a little bit nosiy. I appreciate if I send it to someone to confirm that I am using the right value.
Regards

It is me once more. Under the Info Tab, PSTN Status, I found the following:
Last PSTN Disconnect Reason: PSTN Disconnect Tone

Does this mean that I succeeded in entering the righ disconnect tone in my SPA 3102? In the past the reason used to be CPC dedection. Which I guess it has to do with the voltage.

Any feedback?

I saw Egypt was discussed before and the disconnect tone has been identified. Thanks.

For India Airtel, I used this method to calculate the disconnect tone.

475@-30,475@-30;10(.25/.25/1+2)

In the status panel, I saw the disconnect reason as PSTN-Disconnect-tone for a call originated through PSTN. So I am guessing the PSTN disconnect tone is working.

However, when I called through my VOIP-to-PSTN, I disconnected my VOIP segment and my PSTN was off hook until it timed out (30 minutes). I am not able to use silent detection becuase my call was periodically disconnected.

I am not really sure what I am missing to make it work.
