Default spa-3000 and strange caller id problem

Hi all,

I'm using an SPA-3000 in Canada (Bell) and everything works fine except for the caller id which only partially works. If an incoming call has a name then the name is passed through from the PSTN to the LINE 1 side but not the number. If the call has just a number it nothing is passed through. I'm using the latest firmware 2.0.9(GWi).

I tried raising the "PSTN Ring Thru Delay" as suggested in the FAQ but that has no effect. In fact changing that setting does not alter the ring through delay even - the LINE side phone rings agter one ring whatever value I put there.

I know the LINE side is working fine as the the full number/name of VOIP calls are passed through just fine.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks
Dave Hawkes

In some areas, Canadian Caller ID is a little different from the Bellcore FSK standard, which is the only standard that is currently supported for incoming PSTN calls on the SPA-3000 currently. Even so, I experience the odd problem with names being dropped (number only), or no number at all.

In any case, Sipura is planning on adding additional inbound PSTN Caller ID support in the next couple of months.

I've done some more testing and the "PSTN Ring Thru Delay" definately seems to have no effect - LINE 1 rings after one ring irrespecive of its setting, has anyone else tried changing this value?
